RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (MAY 8, 2008) – Rankin Industries™ has acquired Rodger W. Spriggs Company, an innovative developer and manufacturer of automated MIG Carbide systems for hardfacing applications. It will become the newest division of Rankin Industries™ under the banner Rankin MIG Carbide Automation.
The Rodger W. Spriggs Company was founded in 1990 and the company’s systems are known for their extraordinary efficiency in making tungsten carbide deposits for extreme wear applications.

The systems now offered by Rankin MIG Carbide Automation range from the handheld MIG Carbide Vibratory Feeders and Light Weight Automatic MIG Carbide Systems to Heavy Weight Automatic MIG Carbide Systems such as Coal Pulverizing machines and Gyratory Mantle machines. Rankin MIG Carbide Automation also offers the capabilities to manufacture custom machines to specific customer requirements. Special features of
the systems include well-packaged single and multiple weld head systems used to easily make uniform tungsten carbide deposits.
Rodger Spriggs will join Rankin MIG Carbide Automation as a consultant to develop more break-through solutions for today’s hardfacing applications and wear resistance challenges.
