RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (December 21, 2011) – Broco, Inc., the world leader in underwater cutting and welding systems, introduces the next generation BR-22 PLUS Cutting Torch, patent pending. This new underwater cutting torch features 21 design improvements, including
- All rubber removed from direct oxygen pathway
- PTFE lined fiberglass reinforced coupler hose
- Improved flash arrestor with higher oxygen flow rate and better flash back protection
- Non-return valve to prevent flash back
- Redesigned flow control valve
- Improved collet and collet washer design
- Internal full gasket electrical insulator
Broco’s Engineering Technology Group developed this revolutionary cutting torch over two years of dedicated design work. Beginning with the objective of developing the best underwater cutting torch, Broco’s engineers started with a clean slate to evaluate every possible design improvement. The result is one of the most exciting developments in underwater cutting in 30 years, the BR-22 PLUS. Like the original, the BR-22 PLUS is ergonomically designed for diver comfort, and is made with quality materials to deliver years of trouble-free performance at minimum cost.
In addition to the upgraded torch, Broco now offers a new QuiverPak™ with 50 cutting rods in a reclosable polyethylene box that easily attaches to a dive harness. Both products will be available in January 2012, and can be viewed at Broco’s booth, #901, at Underwater Intervention in New Orleans, January 24-26, 2012.
